Spherualizer is an app that allows you to view panoramic photos and create videos from them. Additionally, the app offers creative tools such as the Tiny Planet and Rabbit Hole effects, which allow users to transform their panoramic photos into unique and creative visual representations. The iOS app features also a version for Apple TV and Meta Quest devices that allows you to experience your panoramic pictures from new perspectives.
Yes, Spherualizer for iOS can record video from your panoramic photos and create some cool tiny planet and rabbit hole video effects.
Yes, Spherualizer works with any camera capable of shooting 360-degree photos, not just panoramic pictures taken with your iPhone or iPad. Just be sure to export your images as equirectangular projection, also known as flat.
Yes, Spherualizer supports split view and slide over on iPad, allowing you to multitask while using the app.
No, Spherualizer does not allow capturing 360 degree photos. You'll need a 360 degree camera for that. However Spherualizer works also with panoramic photos taken with your iPhone or iPad.
By default Tiny Planet and Rabbit Hole are only enabled for 360 degrees photos, because they work best with them. To turn on this functionality for all the pictures, go to Settings, scroll down and enable the Experimental Features. Please note that the resulting effect will not be perfect, and you will have to put some more effort when composing your panoramic picture in order to create a Tiny Planet or Rabbit Hole that is visually good. That's why the feature is marked as experimental.
To enter the Rabbit Hole and Tiny Planet editor, tap on the icon resembling a planet. You can switch between Tiny Planet and the Rabbit Hole effect using a double tap. Additionally you can create super cool video effects by tapping on the Animated button.
Yes, just install Spherualizer on Apple TV. Your Spherualizer's gallery is automatically synchronized with iCloud. If you are not using iCloud you can always view your panoramic picture on your Apple TV using the "Open on Apple TV" function from the Spherualizer menu.
To capture a snapshot of a portion of your panoramic photo, open the panoramic photo in Spherualizer, frame and tap on the shutter button to capture your shot. The snapshot is saved in the Photos app on your iPhone/iPad.
You have to enable the gyroscope mode to be able to move around your panorama with your hand movement. Tap on the icon resembling a gyroscope to enable the gyroscope mode.
To record a video from your panoramic photo, open the panoramic photo in Spherualizer. After that, keep pressed the shutter button until it turns red, then release it to start recording. Move your device around to capture different angles and perspectives. Stop recording by tapping on the shutter button. The video will capture your movements and provide a unique viewing experience for your photos. You will find the captured video saved in the Photos app on your iPhone/iPad.
No, there is no limit to how many photos you can import into Spherualizer. However the performance of the app may be affected by the size and number of photos in your gallery. Please note that you are limited to import 100 pictures per time.
No, Spherualizer does not require an internet connection to view or record your photos. However by default Spherualizer does not keep a copy of the gallery on your device to save space. If you are planning to use the app without Internet access you should select the option "Download and keep originals" from the Spherualizer's Settings and wait for the download to finish. Please note that a WiFi network, not necessarily connected to internet, is required to use the "Open on Meta Quest" and "Open on Apple TV" functionalities. These functionalities work without Internet connection, but require the devices to be connected on the same local network.
To open the settings menu, tap on the Spherualizer menu and choose Settings.

When you delete Spherualizer data from iCloud you loose the ability to synchronize your Spherualizer gallery among your Apple devices. Moreover, the Spherualizer Gallery will be downloaded to your device, occupying storage space. Please verify you have enough free space before proceeding.

Open Spherualizer and tap on the Menu button, then choose Settings. Disable the Backup and Synchronization switch and tap on Done. The download of the Spherualizer Gallery will be triggered. Please wait for all the Spherualizer Gallery to download on your device.

After the download of your Spherualizer Gallery is completed, you can proceed with iCloud data deletion.

Please verify that you can open all the photos from the Spherualizer Gallery without the need of an internet connection. We are not responsible for any data loss that may occur on the Spherualizer Gallery of your device, after you proceed with the deletion of the Spherualizer Gallery from your iCloud.

To delete the Spherualizer Gallery stored in iCloud, open the Settings app on your iOS/iPadOS device, then tap on your name, then go to iCloud, Manage Account Storage, tap on Spherualizer and choose Delete Data from iCloud. If Spherualizer is not listed on the Manage Account Storage page, it indicates that no data from Spherualizer is stored in iCloud, and you can consider the process complete.

Apple TV

No, Spherualizer on Apple TV supports only viewing your Spherualizer's gallery. You'll need to use Spherualizer for iOS for doing that.
Yes, you'll need first to install Spherualizer on an iPhone or iPad and add some pictures in your Spherualizer gallery. Then the pictures will automatically synch with the Apple TV app. If you don't want to use iCloud you can always send the picture using the "Open on Apple TV" function on the iPhone/iPad app.

Virtual Reality

Yes, Spherualizer runs on Meta Quest devices giving you the opportunity to experience your panoramic pictures in VR. You can find Spherualizer on Meta Quest Store.
No, Spherualizer on Meta Quest supports only viewing your panoramic pictures. You'll need Spherualizer for iOS for recording.
At the moment Spherualizer runs on Meta Quest, Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest Pro.
No, at this time, Spherualizer is only compatible with Meta Quest, Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest Pro. I am working to support the Apple Vision Pro. Stay tuned for future updates.
